Decoration: The titles are in unfolded rolls, the graphic scales in shape of a ruler and marble plate.
Shown: The double drawing of facade and perspective view of soldier barracks. A house consisting of separate parts for 4 soldiers or soldier families with high entrance staircases and entrance galleries. According to technical requirements the floor’s level is higher than that of the possible flood. The house has a high roof. The Latin letters in the explication show: rooms with stoves (A), entrance halls (B), galleries (C). The building is surrounded with yard with a gate (B).
Annotation: The construction of Life Guards regiment settlements was begun from May 1740. The projects of regiment settlements were worked out and approved by the regiment staffs. One of the important elements of the regiments was a soldier house, which originally was called barracks, later it was called “front rooms”.
