river with its harbours is shown in details, compiled and drawn
by Abraham Maas in Saint-Petersburg. [SPb., 1726].

The title in cartouche in shape of garland of leafs and flowers,

Shown:
Three state highroads: along the south shore of Gulf of Finland
to Nyen -- old highroad from Nyen to Narva, “Perspectiva”
from Saint-Petersburg to Sarskaya Myza, “Perspectiva”
to Moscow (finished in 1718). The planned buildings all over the
territory of St-Petersburg, settlements around the city, Big and
Small Okhtensky settlements (on the place of Swedish Nyen’s
remains). “Shants de Nyen” is marked with the sign
and five-bastion symbol. On the Vyborg District are land and marine
hospitals (from 1713), Sampsony’s church, on the Vasilievsky
(Basil) Island -- the Galernaya Harbour). Kotlin Island with a
project of the town of Kronstadt (from 1723), “Alexander-shanets”,
Kronslot, Citadel fortresses, lighthouses, finished harbours and
Peter the Great canal. South fairway with depth measures, shoals
and sand-bars. Roman letters show some islands and lots of St-Petersburg;
numerals mark settlements, buildings and structures; the explication
is at the foot of the page to the left.
Annotation:
The map shows the Neva’s head, shores of Gulf of Finland
and vast territories from Oranienbaum and Kronstadt down to Ladoga.
