Shown:
the main roads are with explaining signs- from the left bank of
the Neva from Spasskoye village to Narva, along the right bank
of the Neva to Vyborg, from Nyen to Nöteborg; forest road
through a swamp east; physico-geographic information about the
territory – everywhere are swamps and swamped lands. Estates
are south from Nyen, the cultivated fields surround the town.
The existed buildings of the town, the old town fortifications
remained from 1661 (hatched). Nyenskans Citadel, finished Crownwork
with separate constructions on its territory. Buildings and constructions
of the town and fortress are marked with capital Roman letters
(the explication above to the right): bastions, ravelins, Swedish
(I) and German (K) churches, town councils (old and new), stores
(Q) and storage facilities (R) in the fortress, soldier barracks
(T), the place of an old dismantled town fortification (V) (hatched).
On the left bank of the Neva a Russian church is rendered as out
of scale picture. The numerals show the depths in Black Stream,
area of water of the Neva is divided into squares with depth measures.
Annotation:
The fixed plan of 1698 worked out by J. Mejer. One of the most
important plans of the end of XVII c., showing the real buildings
of Nyen, Nyenskans, road and street tracing.
