Scale [1:], graphic scale in Reenland ruths and Swedish alnars (sazhens?). East -oriented.
Decoration: the explication is in refined cartouche.
Territory: the cape by the confluence of Black Stream (now Okhta R.) into the Neva.
Shown: proposals for fortifying Nyenskans, including five-bastion fortress with two ravelins. Inside the fortress the construction of commandant’s house (1), soldier barracks (2), powder-magazine (3) was planned. On this cape three- bastion fortifications in front of the fortress had to be situated, with orilions and flanks. Inside the fortress 19 residential blocks of buildings and military structures were to be built. Near to Citadel the arsenal structures (4), provision storehouses, ammunition depot (6). Place for two churches is planned. Outer defence line is the water ditch, 3 lunets. Behind Black Stream is a redoubt surrounded with water ditch.
Annotation: The project of fortifying Nyenskans worked out by royal fortifier E. Dahlberg. It is a development of 1671 projects, signed on 29 of May 1675 and submitted to King Carl. The project was approved, the autograph of Carl XII on the draft “Carolus” testifies this. However, the project’s realization was stretched out for decades.
